Electrical steel sheets are a material that doesn’t get a lot of visibility.
Yet, in many products, such as automobiles, home appliances, and renewable energy, they are a driving force in society and part of our daily life.
Our products support our lives today and shape the social infrastructure of the tomorrow.
We prioritize safety and quality, refine our technology and equipment, and create value sought after by society.
We will continue to build on the trust we have earned with our customers and work together with our partners to make progress in the future.
As the JFE Group’s No. 1 electrical steel sheet processing center in Japan, we will keep advancing society’s future.

JFE Shoji Electric Steel Co., Ltd. has the processing technology to meet a wide range of needs, from slitting of electrical steel sheet to press processing of motor cores.
With our high quality and stable supply system, we support manufacturing in diverse fields such as automobiles, home appliances, and energy.
Electrical steel sheets are slit with high precision to fit various applications and specifications.
With excellent dimensional accuracy and consistent quality, our products support the manufacture of parts with advanced functionality in a wide variety of industries.
We can handle a wide variety of materials including grain-oriented and non-grain-oriented electrical steel sheets. We process steel sheets into steel strips of the width designated by the customer. We have the equipment capacity to handle a wide variety of steel types, including electrical steel sheets, and we have advanced processing technology and quality assurance functions. Moreover, through our integrated manufacturing system in collaboration with the JFE Group, you can confidently place orders for products ranging from small batches to large quantities.

We support a wide variety of steel grades, including cold-rolled steel sheets as well as electrical steel sheets. We offer high-precision slit processing with a sheets width tolerance of ±0.1 mm ensuring both accuracy according to customer specifications and consistent consistent quality.

We offer flexible support from small lots at the prototype stage through to the mass production phase. In cooperation with JFE Steel, our system achieves rapid delivery and consistent supply to reduce the procurement burden on our customers.

Two hub locations, in Nagoya and in Chiba, provide integrated management of processing, packaging, and delivery. We meet our customers’ needs with a consistent supply across Japan and flexible response capabilities.
Rigorous quality assurance and safety
management systems
Slitting is a process that machines steel sheets at high speed and requires advanced assurance technology at all times.
We guarantee quality through a multi-layered inspection system that includes inspections at each stage of the process, as well as final inspection, to ensure that we meet customer requirements, specifications, and precision.
In addition, safety measures have been reinforced in terms of both equipment and operations. This ensures worker safety and consistent operation of the production site.

The results of dimensional measurement for each lot including detection of defects, foreign matter adhesion, and holes on steel sheet surfaces are transmitted directly from the measurement devices to the quality assurance system for acceptability judgment.

The work area and human guide lines are clearly separated to prevent accidental contact or entanglement.

Sensors detect approaching people and automatically shut down equipment. Higher safety is ensured.
Press processing technology that meets the precision and performance requirements for motor cores.
Our high precision dies and optimal machining conditions support consistent production of next-generation motors and high-efficiency devices.
We have achieved high-precision lamination forming using non-grain-oriented electrical steel sheets in our press machining of motor cores, which are indispensable for automobiles and industrial equipment. We provide comprehensive support for our customers’ manufacturing by handling everything from mold and material procurement to just-in-time delivery.
Our Motor Core Plant in the Central Japan Division can handle everything from small-lot prototyping to mass production, and has established an advanced quality control system with high-speed automatic presses and cutting-edge inspection equipment (3D measuring machines and automatic inspection equipment). Furthermore, the JFE Group’s electrical steel sheet network allows us to flexibly respond to Japanese and international supply needs.

The Motor Core Plant in the Central Japan Division can handle everything from order consolidation to quality design and optimization/standardization of the manufacturing process for stamped motor core products.
We are also actively engaged in research and development into cutting edge manufacturing technologies and constantly pursue quality improvements.
In order to maintain product precision, we also perform in-house maintenance (grinding, adjustment, and assembly) of molds to ensure strict tolerance control.
In addition, we maintain consistent quality by improving our inspection facilities and controlling product variation.
